Your details stay on your device.

Vowkey keeps your vault on the device you use it on. You can read a document and fill a form without an account.

What Vowkey keeps

Your profiles, documents, logins, cards and keys are saved in an encrypted vault on your device. Vowkey has no copy of them. Without an account there is nothing of yours on a Vowkey server.

What leaves your device when a document is read

Vowkey finds the printed text on the page on your device. To decide which detail each piece of text is, such as a name, a date of birth or a card number, it sends that text and the words printed beside it to Vowkey's reading service at decision.vowkey.app. The service passes the request to OpenAI's Decisions API, which answers with the detail each piece holds. The answer comes back to your device and the details are saved in your vault there.

Vowkey's reading service does not store the request or the answer. OpenAI handles API requests under its API data policy: it does not train on them and may keep them for up to 30 days to detect abuse.

Filling a form happens on your device. Your saved values are not sent anywhere to fill a form.

What Vowkey does not collect

No analytics, advertising identifiers or tracking in the apps, the browser extension or this website. No crash reports are sent.

AI agents

When Claude, Codex or another agent asks Vowkey to fill a form, it sends a field and an @vk: handle to the Vowkey app on your device. Vowkey fills the value there and tells the agent what was filled, not the value.

Deleting your data

Delete an item in the app, or remove the app, and it is gone from the device. Nothing else needs deleting, because nothing else is kept.
